Places to build around your house?

Over the years I have built loads of extensions onto people’s houses and bungalows so it gives me an excellent insight as to where you can actually fit things.

I can look at a property and see where it is easier to put a wall, a bathroom a window, lots of things to help you with your design

To give you an idea I plan to run a series of posts about each one to give you some ideas of what you might be able to do with your house or a relatives

Over the years, architects and planners have built properties in similar ways so say a 1930s bungalow built in Brighton would be very similar to one built in Leeds so what I am saying is what you do to one can be done to the other.

Get a plan from one and it is likely with a few changes suitable for another.

The same with 1960’s and 1970’s semis they follow similar patterns so can be altered in similar ways.

Also lots of properties built say before the 1990-2000 when land was not at such a premium as today had space around them so there is potential with properties built before this time to be extended.

The posts will be turning a detached double garage, a single garage double length, single side extension, double storey side extension, full length rear single into an annex, nothing is a definite it’s just to give you ideas.

Thanks

David
