A very quiet house…..

Sitting on a Saturday afternoon with the sun out and the corona virus lockdown in place I am struck by how quiet our house is…

my mum is isolated in her annex, just cooked her tea and given it to her…having a giggle on the phone with someone but us…

it seems like yesterday that my wife and I were constantly busy with our young children, we were, but now both children are on iPads playing games, seems a bit sad that such precious time for all of us is spent in this way,

hey I am just as bad sat typing this listening to music, my wife has now also decided to start learning to play the piano, so we are having time our own,

I am sure its only natural but the house and garden are so quite my wifes piano luckily has headphones, not sure why I am writing this, but just want to record this random Saturday afternoon early April 2020 if my kids ever read this blog to see how their dad felt, 2 precious children living life without any knowledge really of what is going on around them outside, lets hope things get back to normal soon..

Although do have to say love teaching the children each day, seeing what they do and learn, we are lucky having so much space around us, sun, fresh air, all a bit random so I think I will go and see what the kids are actually looking at.

would love to hear from other people who have annexes to see what they are up to!!
