A simple, wonderful day because of our granny annex!

Yesterday I had a day of from work, to look after my 2 children as my wife was working.

We all woke up as it’s the school holidays with not much in mind.

“What do you want to do today kids” lets go somewhere with nanny they cried!

Ok so we went next door, rang our little bell “hello” do you want to come out with us a bit later, yes where are you going to?

We decided on a visit to a model village not far from our house, took a few sandwiches and had a lovely simple time together.

On the way back my daughter asked can we have a barbecue tonight, certainly I said and we stopped to get some food from a small farm shop on the way home.

Later on we all sat together in our shared garden and enjoyed food, a glass of wine and a few laughs, all because of the shared living arrangement we have.

Just a small snapshot in time but what I am trying to get across to people is that in building shared living spaces there are all sorts of simple benefits which you don’t realise when setting out, and the hard work put in can generate so many precious times for all the family.
